The Two Masters
Being rich or wealthy is relative. A person can live a spiritually and emotionally rich and happy life with the little possessions he has compared to someone who has everything at his disposal but still feels empty. This is what happened to the rich young ruler who was unhappy at JESUS' reply (Luke 18:18-23). Whoever loves money never has enough and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Though we need money, we have to be constantly aware that it is the root of all evil and many have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs (1 Timothy 6:10). We simply can't serve both GOD and money (Matthew 6:24). Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death (Proverbs 11:4).

No Condemnation
A stigma is a mark of disgrace on one's reputation. A person who has committed a crime or experienced separation, abortion, drug addiction or alcoholism will carry this painful mark for a lifetime. Much worse, that individual will continuously be stigmatized by the society where he belongs even after that person has reformed. When the Pharisee saw Mary wiping JESUS' feet with her hair and pouring perfume on them, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, HE would know who is touching HIM and what kind of woman she is — that she is a sinner.” (Luke 7:38-39). But we all need to realise that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD (Romans 3:23) therefore we have no right to condemn nor to judge (Luke 6:37) for CHRIST came not for the righteous in the society but for the sinners (Mark 2:17). Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in CHRIST JESUS (Romans 8:1).

Believing and Doubting
We know for sure that many people in this modern world don't believe in
GOD. Yet surprisingly, most of us Christians, though we believe, still
doubt inside our hearts. We can never say that we truly believe in GOD
if we doubt deep inside our hearts for the person who doubts is like a
wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind (James 1:6b). Faith is
believing the truth and being truly convinced in the existence of the
true unseen GOD and not limit HIS divinity. We can never have faith
unless we believe and not doubt. JESUS asked the doubting Thomas to put
his finger in HIS hands and to touch HIS pierced side and told him to
believe and to stop doubting. Blessed are those who have not seen and
yet have believed. (John 20:27-19).

The Ultimate Good
Everything that happens in this world whether good or bad is part of GOD'S divine plan. HE even causes HIS sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous (Matthew 5:45). We may not be able to full understand this but surely all things GOD works for the good of those who love HIM, who have been called according to HIS purpose (Romans 8:28). Joseph was young when he was sold by his brothers to the Egyptians to become a slave. When he was made governor of Egypt at the time of a great famine, he finally revealed himself to his brothers and reassured them saying: “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of GOD? You intended to harm me, but GOD intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. (Genesis 50:20-21). When the worst things happen to you, remember that GOD has a purpose for the ultimate good and nothing must separate us from the love of GOD that is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD (Romans 8:38-39).

The Center of GOD'S Love
We Christians all know that ever since the world was created, GOD has centered HIS great love to this world - HIS wonderful creation and to HIS master piece - Man, who is created in HIS image and likeness (Genesis 1:27). We are the center of GOD'S universe and no other life forms outside earth is being mentioned in the bible apart from the sun and stars whose light are directed towards this beautiful planet (Genesis 1:16). This debate may still continue but as GOD said to Job: “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand." (Job 38:4). Yet one thing is certain, For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS one and only SON, that whoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) is more than a sufficient proof that the world has always been in the center.

Bought For A Price
We all have sinned and fallen short of GOD'S glory (Romans 3:23) and the wages of our sin is death but GOD'S gift is eternal life in CHRIST JESUS (Romans 6:23). GOD is ever so patient with us that HE didn't want us to perish but to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). In the past GOD spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways (Hebrews 1:1). HE loved the world and gave HIS one and only Son, that whoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). CHRIST was made to be sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21) yet in HIM was no sin (1 John 3:5). HE was made lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:7) and appeared as a humble man obedient even to a humiliating death on the cross! (Philippians 2:8). HE has done it (Psalm 22:31) and it is finished (John 19:30). CHRIST paid the ransom and we were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 7:23) and justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that came by CHRIST JESUS. (Romans 3:24).
That's The Spirit
"That's the spirit!" is such a famous phrase and we hear it all the time. An individual's willingness shows that he is prepared to do even challenging things enthusiastically, unreluctantly and above all cheerfully. But not everyone shows willingness for the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41). The Apostle Paul therefore tells us that each man should give cheerfully not reluctantly or under compulsion (2 Corinthians 9:7). While JESUS was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw JESUS, he fell with his face to the ground and begged HIM, “LORD, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” JESUS reached out HIS hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” HE said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him. (Luke 5:12-13).

Gaining Approval
Christians are all encouraged to live in peace with everyone (Hebrews 12:14). When we serve GOD and walk in HIS ways, we are in total contrast to what the world is teaching. Sadly, we sometimes tend to do whatever it takes to win the approval of others to the point of compromising biblical truths and the Gospel. But Christians are reminded that we must above all please GOD and do what is pleasing to HIM. As the Apostle Paul says: 'Am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of CHRIST.' (Galatians1:10). King Herod had the early Christians arrested. He had James, the brother of John, put to death and when he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also (Acts 12:1-3).
We Need Healing
We all want to be healed whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. A person may look healthy outside but deep inside needs healing. JESUS came to preach the Good News of GOD'S Kingdom and to heal every disease and sickness among people (Matthew 3:23). Healing begins when we receive JESUS in our lives and believe in HIM for HE took up our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). Two blind men who wanted to see again followed JESUS crying 'Have mercy on us Son of David!' JESUS asked them, 'Do you believe that I am able to do this?' 'Yes LORD,' they replied. Then HE touched their eyes and said: 'According to your faith will it be done for you.' and their sight was restored. (Matthew 9:27-30).

Backsliding A Problem
Man will always have the tendency to repeat his mistakes and wrong doings. Even good Christians often sin and sometimes experience backsliding like a dog going back to its vomit (Proverbs 26:11). Yet GOD is always there ready to forgive. HE is patient and kind not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). HE may be all merciful but HIS wrath can be as great as HIS mercy. And this is what the LORD has said in the Book of Jeremiah: "Return faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding. Yes, we will come to you for YOU are the LORD our GOD." (Jeremiah 3:22).
